About EAGG

Founded in 1977, the sole purpose of the Executive Association of Greater Greenville is to generate business for and among member firms. This is accomplished through the exchange of direct business and business information. The Association operates for the benefit and profit of its members, not for profit as an organization.

The Executive Association of Greater Greenville is a select group of business leaders whose experience and reputation have given them recognition in their fields.

Membership is by invitation only, and is limited to one firm in each business or professional classification. Each member firm has its own exclusive classification, based on its main products or services, with which no other member may compete.

All prospective members must first be sponsored by a current member and must exhibit high standards of professionalism, quality, and business ethics.

Members of the Executive Association of Greater Greenville have three basic responsibilities. First, every member is expected to assist and support other member firms in potential business opportunities.

Second, members are required to give and receive business from other member firms. Each member is expected to give leads received and contacts to other members and to act on leads received promptly and thoroughly. Members are encouraged to recommend other member firms to employees, clients, colleagues, friends, and family. And even though it is not required for any member to give any other member direct business, members are asked to give members the opportunity to bid, whenever possible.

Third, members are required to meet specific attendance requirements for our bi-weekly breakfast meetings and scheduled open houses. Only by consistent attendance can new members create productive relationships with existing members. Experience has demonstrated that a high level of participation in the Association will create a more rewarding membership.

Concept and Philosophy

Although the EAGG operates independently of Associations in other cities, the Executive Association of Greater Charlotte was most helpful in the early days. Their meeting format was adopted and inter-group visits assisted in implementing the basic concepts of the Executive Association.

Only one member can occupy a given business classification in the Association.  It is the responsibility of the Classification Committee to protect the unique position of each member against encroachment by other member businesses or outside entities seeking to become members.
